Ophiuchus: The Serpent Holder

Long time that I have stopped posing my picture in deviantart, due to my HUGE reports and a lot of homeworks....I miss this place.

Anyway, this is my main character of my project.
This kid is named "Opicha" (O-Pi-Ka) I guess you know, it came from the word "Ophiuchus" the 13th western zodiac sign.

I have spent long time to create all 13 main characters, this is a desigh sketch.
Actually, this is the first time that I try to use my own style to draw this character, drawing with rough and strong line and watercolor style.

INTRODUCTION

I've studied about horoscope to find information about this project. Now I know about western, Chinese and Native American horoscope quite well.

Approximately, the Chinese horoscope compare its first sign the rat, to Sagittarius, while pig: the last sign is complare to Scorpio.

Scorpio is the sign of death and reborn.
So I think I should set Scopio in the last position of all sign since it represents the end and the life which waits to start soon.

As you know, Ophiuchus is the 13th sign which locates between Scorpio and Sagittarius. When Sag is the first, while Scorpio is the last --> Opicha is in the middle of this 2 signs, so I create him as the main character who will complete "the first mission until the last one."

This kid has to find 12 time holders who represent 12 zodiac sign and 12 numbers on the pocket watch(which is on this kid's neck). Each of time holders have different magic powers, which Opicha can use those magic powers if the kid met them all. I will introduce all time holders, if I finish them.(one by one) --> No!! I won't kill them all. It is not "Finish 'em" in Mortal Kombat game.

Do you doubt why I don't use pronoun which indicate this character's gender. it is because this kid has no gender, so I cannot use he/she with this character. (I want to make an equal between 2 genders. I have 6 boys and 6 girls in the group of time holder.)

Opicha is an alien which was sent to the world to stop "villians"(I didn't create them yet) who want to stole all "pieces of time." So they can control the time and change every situation in this world and change it in the (bad) way they want.

Opicha has no magical ability. (It will be unfair since this kid can use 12 different kinds of magic, so the kid should have some weakness.) And actually, this kid didn't look like human when Opicha got the destination in this world, Opicha has no appearance, just like metal model which have no face, no color, but have only its figure.

When the kid found the poster of human, Opicha mimiced many forms of humans. That's why Opicha has different colors in the eyes, one is green and the other is blue. And the hair is (which I try to make in to be) the mix color between blond and brown. --> But it looks more blond LOL
